Copenhagen Fashion Week

I've been the worst blogger ever these last days.

But hey, didn't get bored at all. I've been spending all my time (days and nights) at Stine's studio, shooting her lookbook and doing my best to help her preparing her fashion show. I still don't know which part of it I liked the most. Styling maybe?

Anyways, I have to run, Copenhagn's Fashion Week is starting today! Exciting!

Sweet busy days

Fashion week is at the corner and I'm getting exhausted. However I'm enjoying these days so much. All the work we have to do is nothing but exciting.

I had a day off today and did nothing but sleep, eat and watch movies and F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

So I thought that I might go out tonight. I'm currently having tea at Kaffe Plantagen (Sankt Hans Torv 3, Nørrebro).

The kind of place where all is homemade, organic (I guess), healthy and delicate. They sell the best dark chocolate (they really do!).

I also thought I could share the last shots I took with my iPhone, you guys are really gonna think that I'm obsessed with food and that it's all I can do and talk about, but I don't care because...

... we had the best sushis the other day with Stine and her boyfriend. And yes, we did eat the whole plate easily!

But in case you're really worrying about the other things I do here in Copenhagen... Well... I work. And I helped Stine to make that sleeve.

One of the met inspirational lookbook I was shown is definitely this one. We are about to shoot Stine Ladefoged's FW12 lookbook and we are looking for inspiration. These shots can be pretty boring but still, they are the most important ones. They are the best collection overview we can give and for that reason I'm taking this photoshoot quite seriously.

Saseline and Szhirley who are two Danish artists I hadn't heard of before (well, I'm new here, please forgive me), visited the studio today to see Stine's collection.

Casual friday

One more day in Stine Ladefoged's studio and I really enjoyed it.

What I really like about that person is that she is committed to her work and she holds onto her projects. But sometimes it can happen that we take a break from the knitting universe and we go for sushis and to get more tea at Tante T (Viktoriagade 6, Vesterbro) so that we have what we need at the studio.

So yeah, I really enjoyed this casual friday.

Then headed back to Østerbro to get my cousin and to... enjoy more sushis with him while watching TV. Yeah, casual babysitting friday in Copenhagen tuduluuu!

Little Dragon at Vega

I'm currently sitting at Von Fressen with Stine. Our Internet is so shitty that we decided to sit there to send all the e-mails we had to.

They're playing Little Dragon's music which reminded me that I hadn't bought tickets for their next concert.

Well, this is fixed now.

I'll be attending this show on next Valentine's day. Who needs a lover when there's such a great event to attend on that day?

CPH Fashion Week preps

Wow today was exhausting! We didn't have less than 3 meetings in different places of Copenhagen and still show pieces to work on.

We first met a stylist for lunch in Bredgade. Talked about models booking, hairstyling and make up. Then we headed to Nyhavn where we had a meeting with our hairstylists. They work in this very stylish place in which they use Morrocan Oil products. You can see their hair salon on the picture above. This actually was our main meeting as we had to make decisions (and freeze them) about how the hair should look. One of Stine's friends came over and was our day's model (see picture below).

Then it was time to head to Sønderboulevard to meet the DJ who will decide about the show's and after party's music and the guy who will take care of all the scenography. Well... All that with smiles and lots of ideas. It was a good day!

These are the shots I took with my phone while enjoying this museum today.

Lots of interesting furnitures can be admired, especially the chirs from the contemporary design.

This is pretty much Arne Jacobsen's kingdom, and the kingdom of all his designer siblings.

I loved that part of the museum. The rest, designs from the previous eras, can be interesting as well. But I must admit I didn't spend too much time watching it.

I ended my journey at Emery's on Østerbrogade with a bressaola sandwich and a chocolate bar.

Then headed to Christinne's and Pelle's place for movies and popcorns. Sundays always should be this way!

Random Copenhagen Fashion stuff

Fashion week has not started yet but it can happen that some fashion shows are thrown away.

This one was for a very young Danish designer named Christian (I forgot his last name, damn!).

He's only 16 and already has done a fashion show outside of his house or of his school.

And just for that reason I'm in admiration. How many of us did know what they wanted to do when they were 16 and put all their energy to live their passion?

I thought I wanted to be a psychologist at that age (that's also when I discovered photography, but that's another matter).

So, this Christian guy found a way to throw his very first show in the center of Copenhagen. He had avery low budget but seemed to know the right people.

He had professional models, a DJ and a convenient catwalk.

He mainly designs evening dresses. The designs are beautiful, the materials used looked a bit too cheap. Also, it was kind of fun (in an ironic way) to see that Copenhagen also has its load of completely superficial people who will attend a fashion show or a party just because it's the place to be and to be photographed.

Anyways, time to go back to enjoying my week-end here.

I felt like posting pictures of my new apartment here in Copenhagen. I already love it so much that I'm planning never to leave it!

This is how I started my day: with vitamins and a cup of green tea. I bought that mug on which you can write on Made in Design.

I woke up in a rainy Copenhagen but it didn't prevent me from taking my bike and riding it to work.

And this is a picture of Stine's studio. It's so small compared to Chloé but it's enough for our mannequins and knitting machines.

We worked on some of the show's pieces today. I was nothing else but a designer and a "petite main" today. And it feels good to discover the other part of the job. Marketing is fun, creating is great!

Can't wait to show you more pieces that will be on Stine Ladefoged's show.

FYI, the show will be on Wednesday, February 1st!

Hipstamatic in Copenhagen

This is the coffee place/bar from which I'm blogging right now. As I don't have the Internet at my own place yet, I have no other solution but to find places with free WIFI.

And as it's going to take some time, I guess Von Fressen will become my second home.

It's good as it's a lot chilled out here, with pretty good music (depends on their mood) and an original green tea.

I took these pictures this morning before starting work. Today was my first day at Stine Ladefoged's.

Will have to post pictures as soon as I take some.

It all went well. Stine seems to be a sweet person to work with, who knows exactly where she's going. Her inspirations are the most interesting I've ever seen, the way she works with other people also.

Ok, enough about that, will write a proper post about her soon.

The first days in Copenhagen

I'm not all set in Copenhagen (I still have to get some papers and an Internet access).

But my apartment is now all ready for the 6 upcoming months.

I'll post pictures ASAP.

And I'm starting my new job tomorrow.

Here's a summary of the first days in Denmark.

First day after my arrival. IKEA and co. day is planned. I'm all set for the cold temperature!

On day two, it was all about bike hunting. I went through lots of nice shops.

In between we (mom, Christine and Alfred) stopped by ARABICA (Blågårsgade 12, Nørrebro) for lunch. We had a chicken and tapenade sandwich.

And so it was time to find the bike. Which we did. A lovely white bike that makes me look like a perfect Copenhagener.

NYE with Hipstamatic

Here are some images from NYE that I felt like posting before it feels like it's too late.

Here are Léa and Gloria, before going to the mountains (village called Auron, near Nice).

On December 31st we met other friends and all skied together. I was so nice as the snow was ok and the sun was shining all day. We got a suntan on our faces without having to lay on a chair.

Our dinner on NYE: purple potato purée with marinated shrimps and arucula. Léa did a great job there!

These are pictures from day 2 (Jan 1st) at noon. We were 5 people who spent NYE together. We didn't party like crazy this year, preferring to be the 1st skiing the morning after, when everyone is asleep and curing their hang over.

We ate at a restaurant called La Bergerie for lunch.

And these are pictures from Jan 1st, when we got back to Léa's place after a long ride. We were all exhausted (see how her pets are sleeping on these shots hehe). We watched some TV while eating Pandoro (Italian AMAZING specialty).

This is it. This was a first as a healthy NYE. Still, I enjoyed it so much. I actually wish I could ski as much as I used to in the past.

Should think about it as a 2012 resolution...

Paris, packing, leaving

I'm back in baby Paris. I have a day and a half here, just enough to pack all my stuff. And in two days I'll be hitting the road to Copenhagen.

It's better not to think too much in these moments.

January

The year started in a funny way, in my previous apartment in Montmartre where we had a great NYE party.

It went on with crazy parties right after I finished my exams. These pictures were taken in a bar close to Montmartre where we had so much fun.

Yummy food and cosy places were on top of my priorities.

February

Nothing too special happened.

I was still into going out with friends, staying home with my ex boyfriend, taking shots of clothes to blog about fashion.

March

All I remember from March is that I spent some time in Nice and it felt like Spring had already landed.

April

I enjoyed the positive vibe of Spring landing in Paris. I spent afternoons in parks with friends, got involved in some specific photographic projects, spent a week in Nice and took a day off to Italie with my family.

I also went to Connan Mockasin's concert with Anna, Malicia and others. Great great show!

May

May was a busy month of studying and working at COS. Above all, it was the month when I had two interviews at Chloé and got this amazing internship.

June

I took three days off to Nice in an unexpected way and enjoyed it so much. I had just finished my exams and I needed a sun cure before starting at Chloé.

I had to put an end to my job at COS before starting my internship. We celebrated at Antoine's blue party.

I still miss this job!

I took a lot of time with friends from the university for sharing nice talks and glasses of Chardonnay.

We celebrated Anna's and Meryl's birthday party at our apartment. It was such a good party.

I started my internship at Chloé as an assistant shoe product manager. When I think back to the first days I really realize how much I've learned with that experience. My team was great to work with which made this stressful job so passionating.

July

I worked a lot and didn't have a lot of time for the rest. But still, I enjoyed some sunny days (before the rain got back and settled for the whole summer in Paris), and some week-ends away from Paris.

August

In August I kept on going away from the city of lights because I really needed to relax from the long hours at the office. I had an amazing week-end at Anna's place, also enjoyed a week of vacation in Villefranche with Léa where I got to see some of these people that matter so much to me.

I also flied to Copenhagen and fell in love again with the city.

September

September was all sunny and hot. Good for meeting with friends outside. September was also the month when I moved into my new apartment in the Marais. And it was the month of Vogue's Fashion's night out!

It was also this great month when Léa moved in Paris. Yay for our friendship!

October

Chloé's fashion show was the biggest event of this month. The greatest experienced I had as an intern at Chloé. I may never forget about it.

And the Pitchfork music festival at the end of the month which had also been highly expected.

November

Nothing special happened in November as I was spending all my time at the office.

But it was the month when I went to Copenhagen for internship interviews. I met Stine Ladefoged and I got the chance to spend the 6 upcoming months working with her.

December

December was all about resting when not at the office, watching TV shows in bed with a bowl of muesli. Buying Christmas presents, eating in my favorites places...

Clotilde visited us, so did my brother.

I went to Bordeaux to visit Anna for a week-end.

I also participated to making a cute xmas tree at Chloé for the Christmas tree contest (that we wan BTW).

It was also time to say goodbye to Chloé, to my colleagues and to all the good and bad times I had there. What an experience!

I feel so empty now. But I also feel relieved as I get 2 weeks for resting and doing anything but what I want!

The end of the year, I will blog about it in the next posts!

2011 was a positive year, with lots of things changing in my life. With some unexpected meetings. Never say never, you don't know what will happen tomorrow!
With some tears but also with lots of smiles.

Diana Instant Back

I bet you've rarely seen such small pictures.

Last week I went by the Lomography shop that is 10 minutes away from my apartment (yeah, I know, dangerous!).

I was supposed to go for a friend to ask a question.

But I got out of the store with a bag full of Lomography stuff I believed I really needed at the moment.

It turns out I'm really glad of what I bought.

This is the Diana Instant back.

You take the pictures the way you're used to with the Diana. But the good part is that you instantly get the pictures, like a polaroid.

That's one of the pictures I took with it. It actually took me a few shots before I completely understood how the thing works. But now that I do, I'm just so in love with the whole thing.

Anyways, hope you were all spoiled for xmas.

Last day at Chloé

I had to blog from work as it's my last day here.

I brought my polaroid at the office and took two pictures of my two collegues.

These girls + me = CHLOE's shoes team (more or less).

It was a pleasure to work with them and again, I feel like saying thank you a thousand times to all what they tought me!

Heading to Southern France tonight, for Christmas and holidays! I'm so excited!

It's been more than 6 months now that I started working at Chloé as an assistant shoe product manager. I remember how wild this world was when I arrived, and how wild the following months have been.
Wild but such a good experience.
Yes, I do look like a crap after 6 months there. Nights are short and it seems that there are never enough hours in a day to finish all the work.

But Chloé is also a fashion house in which people are nice, fun and interesting. They (almost) all are passionate about what they do and it's good to work with them.

I remember how I felt after our summer 12 fashion show. Like a dream coming true, all the excitment before the show, the hours of work after it.
I believe it's my best souvenir from this period.

But in November several things made me want to see something else and to go to some place new. So I sent resumes to Danish fashion houses and flied to Copenhagen for interviews.
I got the placements I had applied for and chose to work with Stine Ladefoged for the 6 upcoming months.
I am truly excited about this new project. I've been craving for newness, I think I have no idea of how much I'm going to learn with this talented designer.

So time has come to say goodbye Chloé.
My team organized the nicest farewell party, and spoiled me like a princess.

I got shoes, wallets, bags, keychains, gloves... All from Chloé and See by Chloé. How nice!

I can't wait to wear these shoes from our summer 12 collection.

I guess I'll be waiting patiently, wearing my Piper ankle boots...

I should probably start packing now.
My last day at Chloé is tomorrow, it feels strange.

I believe I bought a feather crown from Heimstone a while ago then I completely forgot about this brand.

Now that I work with someone who knows the designers I can't pretend to ignore that brand.

They make the most original pieces and I wish it wasn't that expensive.

Will try to save up money before these ankle boots disappear from business.

A week-end in Bordeaux - PART 2

Art pieces...

Most of them are from Bordeaux's CAPC (museum of modern art).

The Utopia is an old church that was turned to a cinema.

There's a café and great movies to watch there.

We went to see Steve McQueen's SHAME.

Not sure I liked it. The aesthetic of the movie didn't make me forget about a scenario that I didn't really like and about all the sex scenes that made me wonder if we weren't watching some kind of porn movie!

Carey Mulligan's solo is a wonderful moment though.

A week-end in Bordeaux - PART 1

Hello Bordeaux!

As I wrote on here a few days ago I spent the week-end in Bordeaux. Just to remind you a bit about that, the roommate with who I've shared the same apartment for 4 years in Montmartre moved to Bordeaux in September.

Anna got into a prestigious school there and had to move for the school year.

So I went to visit her.

Basically we did a lot of walking through the city. But as the weather was cloudy for the biggest part of the day, these shots turned out not to be that good.

We walked by old looking cafés and funny chairs on the sidewalk.

Bought fine French food like cheese...

... we also bought books. Anna took me to this shop where the employees are so into reading that they add a short comment on the cover of the book. I love the idea.

We went to a cool vintage shop. That's where I found my wool jumper.

2nd advent sunday - Brunch, shopping and christmas decoration

My sunday started with the opening of my 2nd advent sunday gift opening. I feel so spoiled when I write this type of thing.

I got christmas decorations. A heart and a star.

Around 1 pm I met Clotilde and Lea for a walk in the Marais.

We went to a shop called LOFT DESIGN BY (rue des Francs Bourgeois) and I must say that they have a very nice visual merchandising. Vintage books, rolled jeans and what I prefer: vanilla scented candles.

We then headed to Rose Bakery (rue Debeylleme) for brunch. I had a plate of veggies. Only good stuff! Yum!

The rest of the day we spent it walking under a rainy Paris, going from shops to shops. I got my mom a cardigan and got warm socks for myself. I'm slowly preparing my departure for Copenhagen I guess.

I had sushis for dinner (what else could I get, knowing that my fridge was all empty?).

I ate them while reading IDEAT. On the cover you can see a polaroid picture with a golden frame. I thought it was a good idea to order such films: it suits my christmas mood!

The week-end landed finally.

I'm so tired these days that I could use an entire week just to catch up the time that I need to spend in my bed.

Which is why I took all the time that I needed to get up on saturday morning.

I basically spent my day on the computer, watched a lot of FRIENDS. Hehe!

And I watched the sky from my window.

We celebrated Alizée's birthday on saturday night. She's one of these rare people that I've known forever and that I still am in touch with.

Sunday also landed slowly. I ate breakfast in bed and got to open my 1st advent present. I'll get a present every sunday before Christmas. Yes, Danish traditions are so sweet!

I watched a lot of How to make it in America in bed. They shot an episode in front of a place I know well in the L.E.S. This French place is closed now... ):

I went to some kind of Danish Christmas market with my sister and friends. Got two candles there!

And ended the afternoon at the Mary Stuart (Rue Montorgueil) with Jeanne and Ana. We then headed to the movies to see Les adoptés (will post about it this week).

Last monday when in nice I had the chance to meet with old friends.

I used to take piano lessons with a bunch of great people and got really close to some of them. These friends' mother is a painter. So last monday, me and my mom went to visit Nathalie Verdier's studio.

It's a warm place with paintings all over.

In which you'll find curios things that the artist paints with, and also brushes (it seems obvious).

We were all very enthusiastic and I wasn't the only one who took pictures.

Walls full of inspirations and souvenirs.

Going back to Nice always means spending hours in my pink room (here) rediscovering the things that made my day when I was a teenager.

I found my old CDs and made a short playlist of the songs I used to love between 16 and 18.

Three days in south is never enough. I didn't get time to do all the things I wanted to. I didn't get time to rest either.

But still, it was nice to catch up some time with the family.

I arrived near Avignon on friday night and spent the two first days there.

Of course we cooked a lot. My mom made us some kind of Asian meal with vegetables, noodles, chicken and soy sauce mainly.

We enjoyed staying inside, all together, a little.

We also went out for walks and rediscovered the pleasure of spending time with Mother Nature.

We went out for a walk in the nearby villages and stopped by a café.

Then it was time to drive to Nice (finally!!) for the last day of my three-day week-end.

A week ago I was in Copenhagen for internship interviews.

Since then I didn't blog about it at all!

I actually got replies from these people quickly. But I wanted things to be sure before I talk about it.

Today I can proudly announce that I will complete an internship under Stine Ladefoged's watch.

I had the chance to meet her in person in a café of Copenhagen. And it didn't take us long to start talking about this internship and about all the things that I would have the chance to learn.

Among the designers to which I sent my resume to, Stine was in the top of the list. She sews beautiful knitwear pieces and you know my love for knitwear.

So plans are definitely made now: I'm moving to Copenhagen in January!

Saturday slowly landed, I was the last one to wake up with the smell of breakfast getting ready.

We took all the time we needed then went out for a walk in Copenhagen.

We went through a park and enjoyed the sun.

... and beautiful autumn colors.

We went for lunch and shopping in a place called Torv Handleren. It's the same concept as Paris' Marché des Enfants rouges but a lot bigger. We ate fish & chips and bought flowers...

... and organic veggies.

We drank the finest coffee in town, from Coffee Collective.

And bought Agnes' Cupcakes for our dinner's dessert. It's now official that I love muffins but hate the frosting!

Please someone tells me why I'm so emotional these days. Why I'm always expecting that something really really big (and great) is gonna happen to me. Why I only feel good when listening to melancholic songs. Why I'm so talented at closing my door to true happiness. Why I always run away after failing (in love).

There are moments when I'm weaker than others and when I feel like telling about all of it on this blog.

Anyways, I posted three pictures of three beautiful women and attitudes. If I ever move to a place where it's always summer, I'll also do my groceries with bare feet! But it doesn't seem to be the plan right now.

Ok, I really need to stop confusing your minds. The situation is far away from being bad or sad.

I saw the end of Breakfast at Tiffany's last night (between 3 and 4 am, this explains why I'm exhausted). I love that spirited character of Audrey Hepburn's. That girl who acts the way she feels like acting, whenever she feels like doing it. That beautiful youthful and unconscious woman... Until she finds love right ?

Not the most amazing scenario ever, or the most beautiful and original mise-en-scene. But you can't go wrong with New York and Audrey Hepburn!

This week-end has been nothing but rest and fun!

I spent my saturday with Lea eating good food and helping her with her moodboard project.

The rest of the night we spent it at Lea's, talking and drinking liters of Japanese green tea. These nights of talks and laughs are the best!

Today is pretty much the same. The sky is grey and it feels like doing nothing but staying at home drinking tea and watching movies.

But me and Ana did go out a little in the morning to buy veggies and flowers at the Marché des Enfants Rouges (Rue de Bretagne).

Paris Pitchfork Festival (Lykke Li)

The Paris Pitchfork Festival had one of the most beautiful line up I had ever seen in a festival.

All these bands that I wanted to see perform live reunited in the same place, for the same night.

Unbelievable right?

Washed Out, Lykke Li, Bon Iver, Aphex Twin, Pantha du Prince, Four Tet, Wild Beasts, Real Estate...

So how could it possibly turn wrong?

Well, some of these bands are definitely better on a recorded album than on stage. Take Washed Out for instance.

That band made my whole summer. Remember when I posted about their latest album. I'm a huge fan and I'd been listening to their music non stop before the show.

It turns out that all these "washed out" sounds and arrangements that make their music so special are missing on stage. It felt like watching an average band that makes average music.

Another HUGE deception is Aphex Twin.

Not that I know all of his music but there are some songs that I've been listening to for years. And the performance he gave us was more appropriate for some kind of rave party.

We discussed about it with friends who are really deep into music and mixing. They said that his performance was technically perfect and this is why they loved it so much.

What he did might have been beyond what any other DJ was able to make. Still, it didn't move me at all. Only the visuals brought something really special to what he did.

Don't worry, this whole festival wasn't only deception.

I had very good surprizes also.

Wild Beasts is one of my 2010-2011 top band. I discovered them when I worked at COS because some of their songs are in their playlist.

The singe's voice brings something that is so sensual to this soft rock music. And it's even more sensual and unique when performed live.

I took a very short video from "Reach a bit further".

Four Tet also was a relief. After long hours of waiting, (he was supposed to perform at 3 am but didn't show up before 4.30 due to technical and organization issues).

I really wished he had mixed some of his own songs. But he didn't. He gave us a good blend of old vintage songs and very deep electro music.

So basically, I didn't sleep between, friday and saturday. I spent the night at the Pitchfork festival, got back home with Anna at 6 am, slept until 12, had brunch, slept again and it was time to go back.

I didn't feel like seeing all the bands from yesterday's line up. Although, Lykke Li and Bon Iver were highly expected.

The crowd from yesterday was completely different from the one from friday night. The people seemed to be more relaxed and definitely not high on hard drugs. Which is kind of normal when you go for a folk and peaceful music show.

Lykke Li gave us a dynamic and beautiful performance. I ADORE her! Her clothing style, her sweet attitude of a woman beautifully hiding how shy she is, when she's on stage.

I didn't expect her voice to be so strong. She reinterpreted her songs and gave them a vintage and more acoustic feeling. Great!

I can't wait to see the pictures.

And here is a short extract from her song Jerome. Please don't pay attention to the (absence of) images. It's the sound that I wanted to catch.

And finally came Bon Iver. He's the one who brought the biggest crowd. he was highly expected from the Pitchfork fans.

And he didn't deceit them at all.

You may find his music too melancholic. You may even think that once you've listened to one track, you feel like you know them all.

But really, Bon Iver is like a god when on stage. He showed up with all his band. Cords, drums, brasses... And they all sang also.

Bon Iver takes his crowd and does whatever he wants with it.

On one of the last songs he told us which part of the song we had to sing with him, when we had to do it, when we had to stop, when we had to scream. It made me cry because of the strength of these minutes.
A strong and very good conclusion to two days of festival!

Prix du Jury (Festival de Cannes)

It's one of the most disturbing movies of the year as it deals with the Brigade de Protection des Mineurs (BPM) (French protection for under 18 kids).

But the director (Maïwen), besides being a beautiful woman (she plays a photographer in the movie), managed to treat it in a very light way.

I laughed a lot which was totally unexpected.

There might be many actors but they all have a very different role and they all bring something to the movie.

The end of October is all about the FIAC in Paris (International contemporary art fair). No more Chanel runway in the Grand Palais of Paris, only art, art and art!

Me and Héléna went there yesterday. I took pictures of the pieces I liked the most:

That donkey is so fun! It's not a painting. You could see real books with a fake life size donkey sitting on them.

Don't ask me who are the artists that did all these things. I must admit I didn't took time for that. I just enjoyed the vibe as I was in the place.

Tomboy (Céline Sciamma)

Among all the movies I've been watching lately, this one is one of my coup de coeur.
To me it's a sweet Boys don't cry.
At least you meet the same type of character, a girl that pretends to be a boy and who falls in love with a girl.
The difference with Tomboy is that the movie is a lot more aesthetic and seen through the eyes of a child.
But the obsession of becoming a boy no matter what is as intense.

The very positive point of that movie, according to me, is that the main character (Laure/Mickael) gets a new chance at the end.

I love it so much sometimes when the weather sucks on a sunday in Paris.

It makes you take your time while brunching then run to a museum or to the movies.

Me and Anastasia ran to Beaubourg after spending the whole morning resting and cleaning our apartment.

We went to the Centre Pompidou for modern art. We had read about an exhibition named "Green attitude".

"Green attitude" wasn't exactly what we expected. It was all concentrated in a small room and with lots of kids doing some scrap booking in the middle. The concept was to reuse packages from everyday's life (hence the title "Green attitude").

But we found some cool things to look at and to shoot!

I met Jeanne for movies.

We saw Drive. LOVED it! And I'm definitely not into action movies.

We ended our sunday night in a tapas bar with 2€ sangrias... So dangerous but so much fun!

It's the story of a young couple that suddenly has to struggle against their one year old son's brain tumor.

CHLOE SUMMER 12 show backstage screen captures

I'm just proud and so happy of the chance I had to be part of this fashion show.

I watched the backstage video from the show. And found myself on it.

CHLOE FASHION SHOW

One thing to know when you work in the fashion product development is that you don't get to enjoy all the parties from fashion week. You work way too much.

I finally found time to tell you about how the CHLOE fashion show went.

I took a few pictures.

A few days before the show the artistic director works 24 hours a day on the looks with her assistants and with stylists.

This board is the look list. I had to go to the fitting rooms every 30 minutes to check on the shoes and to make sure that everything was going well. I always had some glue with me in case a sole had fallen off.

Also, we kept our own look list file updated.

Sandals that finally weren't used on the looks and that we won't sell at all. If you watched all the shows carefully, most of the designers decided to pick closed shoes for next summer. Our feet will be hot next summer!

My backstage pass.

D-day finally arrived.

I was so excited. I stayed backstage before and during the show with my boss. Again, we had to be there with glue, talco, and other typical shoe furnitures. Luckily, nothing bad happened and the show went well.

Our extra shoes taken by VOGUE UK. Made of goatskin and ayers and with very sweet colors. Open toes, slingbacks, sandals, flats...

It got really crazy backstage when the photographers were allowed in. Models were posing and being happy and professional. Me and my boss were watching the models' feet all the time.

And then... it started. We heard the first notes of Le tigre's HOT TOPIC and the models started going on the runway.

I kept on watching the TV we had backstage, and Clare (the artistic director), and all the people around me. It was surreal and so good. They say that it's normal to cry on your first fashion show. I made no exception. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! All the hours of work are so worth it. I have tones of hours of sleep to get back but I don't care.

And the magazines are positive about Clare's first show for Chloé. Yes it's a safe collection but I still find it beautiful no matter what! And for once I really prefer it to Céline. Maybe it's because I was so involved in this creative process. But I found the colors and materials beautiful, nicely put together.

The show was only two days ago and we got back to our normal working life, running all over the place and working like crazy.

I can't wait to start again. I'm just sad that it won't be at Chloé for a little while.

I know that it's when fashion week hits Paris that I should be blogging the most. But I'm so busy at work that I have absolutely no time for myself or for this blog.

Anyways, I have like this saturday morning free then I gotta go back to Chloé.

Kids, I love our future collection and I can't wait for the show (on monday at Espace Ephémère des Tuileries).

I've been spending lots of minutes on Style.com and so far Martin Margiela and Dries Van Noten remain my favorites.

All laced up, the shoes and the clothes match. And this is something that I have always loved. No stitching, no cutting, just wrapping up. The clothes are loose, the dark and bright colors of the styles are perfectly blended and the whole thing looks very simple.

Maison Martin Margiela - Summer 2012

Thank you, thank you, thank you Maison Martin Margiela!

Very chic bohemian style, timeless shapes, materials and styles, and still that very personal touch of hidding the models' faces. The idea of using their hair for that is cool.

I must say that I'm not a fan of the leather pieces they made, but for the rest, I'm in love!

I work in shoes so I couln't ignore that or not show it. Commercially unwearable, but again, THANK YOU! A show is not supposed to be a 100% commercial and I'm glad that some designers go really far and show us their very personal creations.

No posts last week. Things are getting crazier than crazy at work. Fashion week is gonna start soon in Paris and I'm so excited about it.

It also means that tomorrow will be the start of 2 weeks of hard work, no break! But I'm so willing to do that.

On the video above is Lana Del Rey, a New Yorker who makes her own video clips and who has a beautifully fragile voice. I'm in love with this character that she created.

She'll be performing in Paris on November 7th. I'll make sure to get my ticket.

My crazy day started in that peaceful place.

This is Léa's apartment. She moved in Paris a few weeks ago and we're like neighbors which makes life so much better.

This is just an overview. Not the most Vivienne Westwood -ish pictures, but I wanted to show these shots. And the hairstyling and the make up are all inspired by her shows.

My day ended at Aimée's place. She was having a sale. I don' know how she managed to collect so many beautiful peaces from YSL, Chanel, Margiela and Vanessa Bruno. But she did and she made at least one happy customer. I found a Margiela dress and Vanessa Bruno shoes for (almost) nothing.
